Description:
An enormous number of game species in South Africa - and the African continent - have in recent years been under stress from hunting, disease and habitat loss, and it is estimated that the current species extinction rate is almost 10,000 times higher than it would naturally be. After the collapse of countries like Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Angola, the Southern African biodiversity came under huge pressure, affecting the genetic quality of our game and its population directly. Perhaps that is why we do not frequently see animals as big as they used to be in horn, colour and body today.
This phenomenon created an immense opportunity for South African game farmers to become leaders in ensuring the preservation of especially rare game species in Southern Africa, and in true entrepreneurial spirit, the challenge was accepted.
Highly respected game farmer Bernard Groenewald recognized an opportunity to source and offer only the very best male genetics available and offer these to the open market. After consultation with other esteemed breeders and realizing the genetic value of both male and female genetics present in the herds of these breeders, it was decided to take on a joint venture with Tina De Jager (Valley Venture Stud), Johan van der Merwe (Leopard Rock Game Breeders), Waltie van der Walt (Superior Game Breeders) and Bernard Groenewald (LBG Holdings).
Kings and Queens was established in 2016, and a hand picked selection of fine genetics, color and breed are on offer today for the first time. In good faith we trust that Kings & Queens will break new ground in offering genetics of such superior quality, that we shall soon again be able to view the majestic splendor of horn, colour and body in its natural habitat.

Castle De Wildt is a point of sale, established exclusively for the selling and marketing of exclusive and rare game bred at the game farms belonging to LBG Holdings.

Auctions are held on a regular basis at our well established venue near Modimolle (Nylstroom). Invitation only private auctions for pre-vetted clients are also held to ensure that the highest dedicated standard of service is rendered. We also make provision for pre-sale visits to enable potential buyers to evaluate and establish the level of quality and quantity available stock in their natural environment.

We designed and established highly functional and innovative Boma systems. This ensures that the wellbeing of the captured game is at the utmost and highest standard. The auction house is the first of its kind as it is furbished with an up market climate control system.
